I LOVE THIS A LOT OH WOW.

Okay, so. I don't want to be one of those commenters who is all "I hate everything you love, but I didn't hate this!" And obviously I don't HATE Coulson. But this kind of comment sometimes comes off really annoying, I know--but I don't know how else to describe the experience this fic gave me. So, uh, hopefully you'll give me the benefit of the doubt when I say that I had zero interest in this pairing or in Coulson as a main character, after watching the movie. I gave this a try because 1.) you and 2.) amazing sci-fi concept--and now my heart is just aching for them, I am OVERCOME WITH LOVE, you have made me believe.

The concept really is just so interesting and compelling, and I couldn't tear myself away from your Clint. I love the kind of messed-up you made him, I love that he wasn't mourning a pre-existing relationship, exactly, but the lost possibility of one--and the way he tries to deal with the mess Loki left him, how it's not what anyone expects--and also, how the arc of the story isn't that he's a mess and then gets Phil back and that saves him; he has all kinds of recovery and growth to go through and while Phil is the central thread, finding his place in the team and getting his sense of self and purpose back is just as important as the romance.

See, I'm so bad at feedback these days. I am completely incoherent. This story is just incredibly believable, and affecting, and clever, and hot, and I love it.

ALSO. THE VISION. If it's going to be a comic book revolving door death, that is TOTALLY what should happen.
